Our flavored Ashbys® teas are packaged in 2lb bulk bags and start with the finest blend of pure black teas (Gunpowder for green) from Ceylon and Indonesia. The extracts used to flavor the tea are a combination of both natural and artificial flavorings. Combining these two types of flavorings brings the best of both to Ashbys® flavored teas; resulting in a wonderfully enhanced natural aroma and flavor that will remain with the tea for a long time. Best of all, our flavoring extracts contain no sweeteners, sugars or calories and are gluten free.
Our Ashbys® Herbal Rooibos Teas start with high quality rooibos as the base. Native to South Africa, rooibos tea is the dried and cut branches of the shrub and can be identified by the long needle like appearance. Green rooibos and red rooibos differ in both color and taste. The more familiar red rooibos tea presents a ruby color and soft, sweet taste while green presents a fresh, lively taste with a slight tangy flavor. Green rooibos is a lighter bodied, un-oxidized version of the traditional "red tea." Its natural fruitiness is a perfect base for tropical flavors. These herbal teas are caffeine-free and can be enjoyed by the entire family.
