PNG coffees are revered for their interesting acidity and high variety. Notable for the mountainous topography of the island and the incredible cultural diversity of thousands of indiginous groups, historical changes in infrastructure have reduced the number of centralized coffee plantations typical of most coffee regions. Thus, many New Guinea plantations are actually collections of traditional “coffee gardens,” small plots of as little as 20 plants grown alongside subsistence crops. With increased introduction of modern processing methods, these already incredible coffees continue to grow in quality and consistency.
Immediately after roasting, our coffee is packaged into 5 lb bulk nitrogen-flushed bags. This process forces nitrogen into the package, replacing the oxygen, that would otherwise quickly age the coffee. The nitrogen preserves the wonderful flavor characteristics of fresh-roasted coffee. Coffee Masters also utilizes "vent tape" technology which allows the coffee to de-gas, but prevents exposure to oxygen.
Ingredients: 100% Arabica coffee
Raw Coffee Beans
We purchase only from the top 3% of the highest quality arabica coffee grown. To find the best beans, we evaluate the following: bean size, bean color, uniformity of color and size and most importantly the flavor of the roasted bean.

Roaster
We proudly roast all of our coffee on the Loring Smart Roaster S35 Kestrel, the most environmentally-friendly commercial roaster available, reducing our energy use and emissions by over 80% compared to a standard roaster. The convection roasting process protects the natural bean flavors by allowing very little oxygen into the roast chamber and letting the clean, natural taste of the coffee shine through.

Roast Levels
The touch screen control panel on our roaster allows our roastmaster to digitally customize and save every bean profile to ensure your coffee is consistent cup after cup. We offer five different roast levels, each with its own unique characteristics. Whether you like a light American roast or a dark, rich espresso, we have you covered.

Grinding
For freshness sake, we always encourage customers to order whole bean coffee. But if you do not have a grinder, don't worry, Coffee Masters can grind the coffee for you. Please use our guide and let us know what type of grind you need in the comments section of your order, otherwise it will be an all-purpose grind.
